Friday Wrap-up: Tom Sawyer, Teams, and Tests

Filed under: Uncategorized — liberrydwarf @ 8:23 am

The week that was!

1) One Good Thing: Spent the weekend at Mum’s again, this time painting the fence (hence the Tom Sawyer quote. But no small children to convince to take over from me!) as one of the last things before the place goes on the market. It was kind of soothing to do something both mindless and productive at the same time… think I need a holiday!

2) One Bad Thing: Spent the whole of Thursday morning in a workshop about how to build great work teams. Depressed because from the end of the year, I lose my existing great work team, and nobody here has any idea who’s working with who on what as of January. Ironic that it was repeated over and over how good teams require clear vision and good communication – haven’t seen much of that recently!

3) One Thing I Learned: What sex my baby is :D. Suddenly I have a whole new perspective on this – it’s like there’s a whole personality in there now, not just a parasite.  (And here’s hoping my child never finds this blog. Ever.)

  1. And, if I may ask, what is the sex of your baby? 🙂

  2. I guess the dead rat and a string to swing it with also didn’t come with the fence painting then ;P

Fun about the sex – it’s also really cool to feel them moving.
