I am exhausted today. Totally bone-weary. Don’t know why – I don’t feel that flu-coming-on feeling, and it’s not like I’m not getting enough sleep. In fact, hubby and I watched a DVD as we had dinner, and after it was over I turned off the TV and told him I was tired and going to bed. He blinked incredulously at me and said “but it’s only ten to eight.” I looked at the clock and indeed, 7:50pm. I am becoming my grandmother…
1) One good thing: Watching Season 2 True Blood, and had some happy revelations. No spoiler alert required, let’s just say I hoped they wouldn’t kill off a favourite character and they didn’t. Smiles all round!
2) One bad thing: burned my finger on the oven. Now have a killer burn scar, turning that horrible yellow-with-little-barbecued-capillaries colour, it’s pretty sickening.
3) One thing I have learned: quite a nice recipe for chicken wings (even if the portion size appears to be for starving footballers instead of little old me!) It was pronounced “quite nice” by fussy-as-anything hubby, so that’s got to count for something!
4) Today’s link: a clever little animation on the history of the universe/planet (or one person’s version thereof, we don’t take sides on the creation-evolution debate here!). I like it because it’s simple, cute and has a good pace with regards to how long between certain “things” in the grand scheme of the history of the world…
Love the daily links. Am shamelessly mining your blogeverydayofjune postings for a ‘wow, look at this’ segment on my library website (anything to get student’s attention!)
